8TH GRADE WRITING SOL
March 11, 2020 & March 18, 2020
8th grade English is a writing-intensive course, where students are taking their first-ever writing SOL for the state of Virginia. This is a two-part test, where students participate in an on-demand digital composition of an expository or persuasive writing piece. The writing is based on a number of released state writing prompts. The second part of this test is an objective, multiple-choice test covering research, composing, and revising writing.
8TH GRADE READING SOL
April/May 2020
The 8th-grade reading test in a state-administered test that evaluates the high-level reading and thinking skills of your student. For more information please head on over to the Virginia Department of Education website.
